LONDON: G P PUTNAM'S SONS , 1930 Slate Black buckram cloth boards with gilt blocked titles to spine and front , 225 x 155 mm approx. top edge stained slate black, xvi + 288 pp Portrait frontis + 6 other portrait illustrations all as called for. First UK Edition 1930 signed by the author and dated in black ink - somewhat faded to title page. Please see our images of the actual book offered for sale for further details and condition. Good no d/j (Book- heavy colour rubbing to buckram, pencil previous owner name and date to front paste down, pencil highlighting to margins of passages of text - many, and heavy soiling to face of two opposing pages, signature as above. A few leaves to bottom edge of book block not guillotined. No other notable defects).
