About This Item

London : Ernest Benn Limited, 1947. First edition. Cloth. Very Good Indeed/Good. 7.5" by 5" . none . A delightful first edition copy of A. P. Herbert's Topsy Turvy. Alan Patrick Herbert was an English humourist, novelist, playwright and law reformist. Topsy, one of Herbert's most popular creations, appeared in Punch which Herbert worked for. Within this book, Topsy comments on the post-war world. In the original clipped dustwrapper. In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, smart with a few light marks to the boards. There is a previous owner inscription to the front pastedown. Internally, firmly bound with bright and clean pages. In the original clipped dustwrapper which is a little worn to the wraps and extremities and the spine is a little faded. Very Good Indeed
