London: Peter Owen, 1973. Hardcover. Fine/Near Fine. Green cloth with gilt sp. lettering. 136 pp. inc. prelims, 4 ill. plates on 2 leaves ex-pagination. Pristine bat slight crease across bottom outer corner of one plate leaf. Price-clipped jacket otherwise clean and unworn. The Abbe de Choisy (1644-1724) was a promiscuous cross-dresser, raised wearing girl's clothes, but not homosexual, the Marquise-Marquis de Banneville was similarly raised but was homosexual, authorship of his account (1st pub. 1695) is uncertain though Choisy almost certainly had a hand in it. 14 cm x 22 cm
