Pair of clean hardbacks tightly bound in very nice prize bindings of red half-leather over cloth with gilt titles, 5 raised spine bands, all edges gilt, marbled endpapers, cloth has minor discoloration at rear panel of vol. 2, removal mark in volume 1 where a prize plate used to be on the front pastedown (still in-situ in vol. 2), no inscriptions. xviii + 832 and viii + 744 pages (numbered 1 - 1566, tissue-guarded frontispieces, many illustrations in the text, index. Published in 1920 and 1923, respectively. Heavy books, near 3kg unpacked .
