This is a limited publisher's edition with the limitation page reading "This, Number 18 of a Special Edition of Two Hundred and Fifty-Five Copies of The Trees made by Alfred A. Knopf for His Friends goes with his Best Wishes to George Stevens." Stevens was a writer and publisher who got his start at Alfred A. Knopf. The Trees was the first of Conrad Richter's The Awakening Land trilogy of novels about a frontier family. ; 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall; 302 pp .
