About This Item

1937: Protection Society & Rand-McNally, 1937. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket. Probably 1st (and only?) printing. Silver-stamped cloth larger than usual octavo. 142pp. Printed endpapers. Illustrated with clear & well-done drawings by the author. "Property of (owner)" on title page. A terrific & simply-put expose of how crook forge & change stolen checks, & how to prevent this kind of theft. Chapters: "They Don't Use Guns", "Cash Checks Cautiously!", "Write Checks Carefully!", "Print-Write Your Checks", "Typewrite Your Checks", "Fortify The Danger Line", "Handle Checks Safely!" Published by Protection Society (Okla City) & printed by Rand McNally & Co. Even in an electronic age such is ours, most people still exchange checks, writing or receiving. This remains a superb resource for all of us who do that. Vg condition. Very slight fading along front cover near spine. Very slight edge wear. No dj. Very scarce.
