This is an excellent rather rare copy of the Viking first edtion, which is a reprint/re-titling of the original 1949 publication of 19 stories with three stories added and one omitted. The book is in "Like New" condition except for miniscule wear at the top of the spine and a smudge on both sides of the Contents page. The unclipped dj ($3.95), in a PLASTI-KLEER jacket, has noticeable wear along the edgesand corners. Viking Press, 1962.
Synopsis
Graham Greene (1904–1991) worked as a journalist and critic, and was later employed by the foreign office. His many books include The Third Man , The Comedians and Travels with My Aunt . He is the subject of an acclaimed three-volume biography by Norman Sherry.
