Dodd Mead / Torquil, 1961. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. 8x5x0. Signed by Author. First edition, first printing, gutter code of B49 on last page. Hardcover in jacket, price clipped from upper jacket flap. The jacket is the primary indicator of the first edition as both the book club and the trade issue are close to identical. The prime indicator of a first edition is the price on the jacket flap, although this one has been clipped the book club slug is not printed on the lower jacket flap. Text is clean and unmarked. Binding strong. Some rubbing and edge wear to jacket, a few small tears to jacket edge. Presents well in fresh Mylar. Very good condition. Additional photos available upon request.
