Lovell, Coryell & Company, 1893. First edition. Hardcover. Good. First American edition, unauthorized, good blue cloth (no jacket) stamped in gilt and silver to cover and spine with gilt decoaration of a man and woman (two of them). Hardover shows touch of spine lean and touch of soil, rubbing at edges that is worn through to boards at small areas of corners and ends, rubbed out name at front end paper causing an off color blemish, previous owner bookplates at front paste down, rear end paper has top corner clipped, some short closed tears and shallow open chips at page fore edges due to careless cutting of uncut pages, page along with a few light internal splits and off set leaves. 282 pages with black & white illustrations and followed by a few pages of adverts. All said this does remain an attractive copy of this work of fiction by the creator of Peter Pan and other notable work.
