American edition of the Daijiten, being a facsimile of the thirteenth printing of 1919; thick 8vo, pp. [6], 73, [5], 2596, [2], 80, 10, 110; full limp black cloth; covers creased, shallow dampstain to corner, text otherwise clean and sound good. A facsimile of the Japanese edition, with Japanese - Japanese entries, and no English apart from the introduction, which states that this issue was printed due to the demands and restrictions of the war. The original Daijiten is was the oldest modern Japanese dictionary.
