Bakersfield, CA: Kern County Historical Society and the County of Kern, 1950. First Edition. Hardcover. Near fine/very good. 84 pp, with bibliography, illustrations, maps of Spanish explorations and Mexican Land Grants. One small stain on front board, else a fine copy, in a clean dust jacket with some mild creasing and one short (1/4 inch) tear. Originally a master's thesis. Chapters on early exploration, Mexican grants (San Emigdio Rancho, El Tejon Ranchos), Fort Tejon.
