Gibbons, with thanks for valuable help from his friend, Alfred Hayes', dated Christmas 1894.One of five-hundred and fifty copies of this work produced.A charming volume of thirty-one short poems, including 'A Storm Song' and 'The Lark in Autumn'.With a sixteen page publisher's catalogue to the rear, dated 1894.Hayes wrote the lyrics of the school song of King Edward's School, Birmingham. In the publisher's original cloth binding. Bumping to back strip head and tail, with back strip and board perimeters age toned. Front hinge strained, but firmly held. Inscription to front free endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages lightly age toned due to paper type, otherwise clean and bright. Very Good
