About This Item

Germany: Konemann, 1986. Cloth. Fine/Fine. 13" by 11". None. A meticulously detailed exploration into villas in the province of the Veneto. First edition thus. Introduced through stunning photography throughout, four-hundred and thirty-eight of which are in colour by Michelangelo Muraro. Featuring its original unclipped dustwrapper, designed by Paolo Marton. "Vividly captured in full-colour photographs. Dotted over the evocative landscape and other centres, world-famous country houses, manors, and villas rise from magnificent natural settings. Those designed by the great Andrea Palladio and his followers inspired celebrated houses and palaces in eighteenth-century Britain, and similar buildings in late Colonial and early Federal America." In original cloth binding with original unclipped dustwrapper. Externally, both cloth and dustwrapper are bright and smart. Internally, firmly bound, bright and clean throughout. Fine
