Oxford: At the Clarendon, 1869 [but later].. 8vo. xvi, 355, (1), 32 pp. Publisher's blue cloth, gilt lettered to the spine, ex Free Library, Newport, Monmouthshire with their gilt stamp to the foot of the spine and ink stamps at intervals within including on some of the plates or their versos. 11 plates including a colour folding frontispiece map plus 35 illustrations in the text. Sometime neatly recased with renewed endpapers, some light wear to the extremities, else a decent copy. The publisher's catalogue to the rear dated October, 1879.
