Paris: Chez C. Lamort, 1788. Second Edition. Full Calf. Very Good. Full calf edge worn through to boards at corners but generally well preserved; two volumes bound in one. Rubbing to spine with some loss to leather at tail, but gilt title generally bright. 5 raised bands. Internally fine, fontis engraving of Trenck in chains, contemporary notes to rear free endpaper. Second edition augmented. His memoirs were translated into most European languages and were a sensation - women wore dresses in Paris a la Trenck. Trenck was sent to the guillotine for Jacobite sympathies etc. three years later in 1791. 168pp, 167pp, each volume with separate title page. Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. Quantity Available: 1.
