About This Item
Scrapbook containing Laura Ingalls Wilder and Little House on the Prairie ephemera from the 1970s through the 1990s (most of items are from the 1980s). Red covers with gilt borders, screw-post binding (very good condition). Construction paper-type pages; age toned. Only about half of the pages have been used. Most clippings are from the Kansas Farmer magazine. Many are from an on-going series of articles called "Laura's Legacy," which were written by Laura Ingalls Wilder, author of the "Little House" series of children's books, between 1911 and 1924. At the time, she was home editor of Missouri Ruralist, another farm magazine published by The Harvest Publishing Co., which also published the Kansas Farmer. Also included is a brochure for the "Little House on the Prairie" site located in Independence, Kansas; a copy of Missouri Life magazine from 1977, which featured an article with photos on Laura Ingalls Wilder; and various newspaper articles.
