About This Item

Slipcase: Minor wear and tear to surfaces. Slipcases are especially vulnerable to abuse, this one has been cared for. There is a dimple/bump on the lower (shelved) portion, but the structural integrity of the case is still firm and strong.

Dust Jacket: The front leaf is clipped, otherwise the DJ is immaculate. The protective slipcase did its job well.

Volumes: There is light toning on the page edges, the remainder of both volumes is pristine. No marks or entries, and the boards and spine are firm and sturdy (photo).

Tip-in review by S.P. Rosenbaum of this publication from an unknown newspaper. The pencil date is November 4, 1972 (photo).

The legacy of Virginia Woolf is almost legendary. Writer, Political Activist, and Feminist. With that fabulous nose, Virginia mastered the art of showing only her striking and unique profile in almost every photograph taken of her. The illustrations alone are worth the purchase price.

The author was Woolf's nephew and was granted access to all of Virginia's papers, including her intimate and numerous diaries. The publisher, Hogarth Press, was founded by the Woolf family.

Widely regarded as the definitive biography of one of English literature's most fascinating and complex personalities.

Note: The bulk and weight of this 2-volume quality set (4.7 pounds) may require a supplemental shipping charge to be assessed. USPS Media Mail is the most practical and economic option. No charge is assessed for packaging and handling.

Synopsis
