New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1893. This collection of essays was first published in England in 1881. This is a Very Good copy of a Later Printing of the First American Edition, part of the publisher's "Cameo Editions." Dark green cloth binding with gilt titling on the spine; the front cover is ruled in gilt with the designated white cameo within a gilt-ruled circle. The Cameo Editions are rather surprisingly uncommon. Clean text; 224 pages, with a frontis portrait etching by G. Mercier; top-edge is gilt. Bumped; rubbed at the margins. Still, a rather attractive little book.. Later Printing. Hard Cover. Very Good/No Jacket. Illus. by G. Mercier. 16mo - over 5¾" - 6¾" tall.
