Very good. - Narrow quarto [12-1/2 inches high by 8-3/8 inches wide], black boards backed with black cloth tape with a printed paper label on the front board. The boards are bumped & rubbed. The head & tail of the spine are lightly chipped & the cloth tape is detached at the top & bottom edges of the boards. The label is lightly soiled. Title, [1] leaf & 47 pages plus colophon. The top edges of the first 2 leaves are slightly darkened & their top corners are lightly creased. Very good. <p>First edition, limited to 300 numbered copies.<p>A nice association copy, inscribed by Eshleman on the title to American poet Carl Thayler [1933-2005] in the year of publication: "For Carl from Clayton / for the work to come. NYC 1967", with Thayler's ownership blind stamp on the title page.
