This is the first of Crais' novels to feature the characters Elvis Cole and Joe Pike. For this work, Crais was awarded the Barry Award for Best Thriller (2008) and the Mystery Ink's Gumshoe Award for best thriller (2008). A powerful novel, written by an award winning author.
