A later edition, firstly published in 1933 by Cassell. A comedy spy novel by Compton Mackenzie, Scottish writer of fiction, biographies, histories and memoirs, cultural commentator, raconteur, and Scottish nationalist. He aided the foundation of the Nationalist Scottish Party. Mackenzie based this volume on his experiences while working for the British Intelligence. In this book the author it at the top of his comic form, and Water on the Brain is a delicious farce described by Mackenzie as "a deliberate caricature of Intelligence."With the unclipped dustwrapper. In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, lovely with only minor shelfwear. The dustwrapper is excellent with only slight shelfwear. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
