Harper & Brothers, 1916. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" Scarce first edition in the rare jacket (Harper date code 'I-Q'). The b/w frontispiece and color jacket illustration are by Norman Rockwell (variations of the same image). Cloth is bright, gilt unfaded. The scarce jacket is almost entirely intact, with some browning, and nicks and tears to edges; text has some browning and foxing; ink gift inscription, dated Christmas, 1916).Illustrated by Norman Rockwell.
