About This Item
London: Michael Joseph, 1968. First edition. Cloth. Very Good/Very Good. 9" by 5.5". None. A first edition of this autobiographical work by Derek Tangye. Derek Tangye (19121996) was a well-known author who lived in Cornwall for nearly fifty years. He wrote 19 books which became known as 'The Minack Chronicles' - they were about his simple life on a clifftop daffodil farm called Dorminack, affectionately referred to as Minack, at St Buryan in the far west of Cornwall with his wife Jeannie. Illustrated with numerous monochrome photographs. In a green cloth binding with original unclipped dustwrapper. Externally smart. Light shelfwear to the boards. Dustwrapper is smart also, with just some light edgewear and a few marks (particularly to the rear). Ink signature to front free-endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and generally clean, with just a couple of patches of foxing. Very Good
