Loosely based on Clifford D. Simak's 1963 novel, which follows a Civil War veteran who is chosen by an alien to monitor an intergalactic way station in exchange for immortality.
Set in Pennsylvania.
Lavender titled wrappers. Title page present, dated July 31, 1987, noted as FIRST DRAFT REVISION, with credits for director Joe Dante, screenwriter Bruce Joel Rubin, and novelist Clifford D. Simak. 123 leaves, with last page of text numbered 121. Xerographic duplication, rectos only. Pages Fine, wrapper Near Fine, bound with two gold brads.
