Westward Ho follows the Elizabethan corsair Amyas Preston in this work of historical fiction set around the time of the Spanish Armada.Charles Kingsley was a social reformer, priest of the Church of England, poet, novelist and historian of the nineteenth century. Includes a monochrome plate with a tissue guard as the frontispiece.Prize book plate to the front pastedown. In full calf Relph Brothers Limited binding. Externally, very smart. There is minimal bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Prize book plate to the front pastedown. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean with some occasional spots. Very Good Indeed
