New York: P.J. Kennedy, 1929. Limited ed. Hardcover. Very Good. One of 485 numbered copies (of which this is No. 99), signed by the author on the half title. Patterned paper covered boards over three quarters white vellun with spine lettered in gilt. Four full page engravings by Florence E. Lamont. Very good, spoting to spine and yellowing to the vellum, paper of the boards rubbed. Francis Clement Kelley (1870-1948) was the second Roman Catholic Bishop of Oklahoma City and an author and, during the Spanish Civil War, a diplomat. In 1905 he fopunded the Catholic Church Exception Society whose mission was to reach out to America's rural and missionary areas. This book is a work of mysticism based in Christian philosophy.
