About This Item

Garden City, New York: Doubleday, Page & Company , 1922. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Fine/Fine. 7.25x4.75. Very fine book with two historic bookplates on front paste-down, Walter Chrysler and Frank J Hogan. Small discoloration at base of spine, which is slightly faded, otherwise an extremely fine copy in a fine jacket( one small chip at bottom of front panel, spine slightly stained and faded otherwise very solid and appealing). An especially well preserved copy, with a most distinguished provenance, of Morley's best-known work. Book in mylar protection and a later slipcase.
