Jacket has modest edge-wear, mostly at top of flap fold and at bottom of backstrip where some chipping and short tears are visible. Two light wavy horizontal ridge lines visible in paper-covered portion of front cover. A printed Harper & Row slip "With the Compliments of the Author" paper clipped (and leaving an indentation) to front free endpaper which also has an upsloping secretarial "Martin Luther King, Jr." signature in blue ink. A appealing secretarially-signed copy of MLK's final book.
