First UK edition 1st printing, Fine minus unread book with slight page waviness, in a Fine jacket. After a very long run of mystery titles, Burke wrote this novel of Civil War history centered on characters from New Iberia, Louisiana. This copy has a bookplate signed by Burke laid-in. The Orion hardback of this title is extremely scarce in the US.
