New York: Holt, Rinehart and Winston, 1970. First Edition, First Printing. 2/3 light green cloth and beige linen spine. Near Fine/Very good. SIGNED "Lady Bird Johnson" neatly across her custom book plate. 6.25" x 9.35 [viii] x [2] 3-806 with 36 pp. of B&W photographs. Clean, square copy with a few spots on fore edge and bottom corners. DJ has a few closed tears along top edge, now well protected in a mylar cover. One of America's most beloved First Ladies, she put her imprint not only on the White House but the beautification of American Hiways. "This was one of those incredible days that would make a book. Lyndon had agreed that we should invite all the astronauts' families, wives and children to spend the night at the White House." (p 288).
