About This Item
Book has nice sharp corners, unmarked text block, tight spine. Some very light foxing to top edge. Dust jacket has some shelf-wear and chips. Full cloth. First published anonymously in 1928, this edition also has a preface by Cocteau, who never denied authorship of this homoerotic novella. Includes lots of reproductions of Cocteau's racy drawings and a blind-stamped, nearly abstracted, image of a barrier between two people kissing on the front board. Beautifully designed and letterpress printed. 88 pp.
