With a liflong interest in geology and earth sciences, I enjoy coming across and discovering worthwhile books that whet my appetite and interest me with well-written looks at topics. WHY THE EARTH QUAKES does precisely that on all levels. The book is literate and well-written, and it has illustrations that are meaningful and explanatory. If you are looking for something clear, concise, and to the point about earth changes, with a focus on the effects and affects of earthquakes and volcanoes, this book by Mario Salvadori and Matthys Levy will satisfy your curiosity! I found the book a great reading adventure, and insightful. This is a nice reference work to have on hand. For any reader interested in geology, this will be a memorable science reading journey. ---Lee Prosser, author of the memoir ISHERWOOD, BOWLES, VEDANTA, WICCA, AND ME; and, MISSOURI HAUNTINGS.
