The work tells the story of a widow and mother to two children as she learns to navigate a world that leaves her feeling isolated and unwanted. In the publisher's original cloth with the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally lovely with only light offsetting to the rear endpapers. The wrap is very smart with sunning to the spine, handling marks to the rear and very small closed tears and chips to the head of the wrap. Offsetting, marks and light spotting to the verso. Internally firmly bound with very lightly age toned and generally clean pages with the odd spot to the fore edge. Near Fine
