About This Item
New York and Vienna: Spring-Verlag,, 1993-2000. The monumental scholarly edition of Wittgenstein's work First editions, first impressions, of the complete published series up to 2000. The edition "presents for the first time the manuscripts of Wittgenstein in complete form, faithfully reproduced, and so arranged by content and chronology that it is possible to study the process of his thought, 'which developed in the course of these long and complex wanderings'" (series overview). The plan for the series was for 15 volumes, some published out of sequence. After a long gap in publication further volumes have appeared in recent years, with more projected. Ten volumes, folio. Original cloth and jackets, save Introduction volume which is in original wrappers. Four volumes with card slipcases. Light bumping to a few extremities and scattered slight soiling; an excellent set.
