Quarto (8.5x11 inches), No. 194 of 400 copies, pp. 74, 2 (ads), black cloth boards with silver lettering on spine and front, stamped silver drawing or the renegade on front, black and white illustration. Inscribed on the free front endpaper by the artist to Joe Kubert, the cartoonist who founded an influential art school. The author says this is a biography set in colonial and post-Revolutionary America, based on the true story of Pennsylvanian who was raised by Indians, became a frontier hero, then a Loyalist, and ended up an exile in Canada. Condition: Boards slightly bowing outward with a few scuff marks; dust jacket moderately worn with no tears. Leaves clean and tight. Size: Quarto. Text body is clean, and free from previous owner annotation, underlining and highlighting. Binding is tight, covers and spine fully intact. All edges clean, neat and free of foxing.
