About This Item
London: George Newnes Limited, 1950. First edition, first printing. Published by George Newnes Limited in London, 1950. This is a very good (or better) copy. The dust wrapper, designed by Thomas Henry, is bright and clean to the front and rear panels, aside from some slight handling marks. There is also slight creasing to the rear panel and the spine is slightly sunned. The top and tail of the spine is slightly worn; it has not been price clipped, showing the original 7/6 net price. The text blocks are white but slightly foxed. The boards are free from notable chips and marks and the gilt titling is bold. The internals are free from previous owners ink, however there is slight toning and foxing to the end papers, which extends to the contents page. Overall, this is a very good (or better) copy. Eight new stories about the mischievous schoolboy and his chums.
