The first edition, first impression.In the original unclipped dust wrapper.The twenty-eighth 'Just William' book, 'William and the Tramp' contains eight brilliant and comical stories following the unruly schoolboy.Illustrated with a frontispiece, and in-text illustrations, by Thomas Henry.Written by Richmal Crompton, a popular English author, who is best known for this series of books. In the original publisher's cloth binding, in the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, smart, with very light bumping and rubbing to the head and tail of the spine. A few very small marks to the boards. Light spots to the fore edge. Prior owner's ink inscription to the front paste down. Edge wear to the dust wrapper, with small chips to the head and tail, and some closed tears. Light rubbing and minor handling marks to the wraps. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Very Good Indeed
