A complete two volume set of this biography of sculptor William Wetmore Story by Henry James, in the first edition. First edition copies, complete in two volumes. William Wetmore Story was an American sculptor, art critic, poet and editor and this volume details his life, work and friends from letters, diaries and recollections. Some of the friends include Robert Browning, Elizabeth Barrett Browning and James Russell Lowell. Written by Henry James, the American-British author who is considered amongst the greatest novelists in the English language. With a frontispiece to both volumes. Some of the pages remain unopened. Both are in the original cloth bindings. Externally, very smart with some light marks to the boards and light bumping to the head and tail of the spine. Some of the pages remain unopened. Internally, firmly bound with bright pages with some light scattered spots to the first and last few pages. Very Good
