The first U.K. edition of this work.In the original unclipped dust wrapper.The entertaining autobiography of Billy Rose, a leading figure on Broadway in the first decades of the twentieth century.Illustrated with a frontispiece, and sixteen plates.Strikingly illustrated by Salvador Dali, the important Spanish surrealist artist. Rose was the third husband of Fanny Brice, whose life story was adapted for the stage musical 'Funny Girl'.Collated, complete. In the original publisher's cloth binding, in the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, smart. A few light marks to the boards and spine. Spine is a little faded. Minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Dust wrapper is edge worn, with chips to the head and tail of the spine and wraps, and to the extremities. Light rubbing and marks to the wraps. Small chip to the tail of the front joint. Marks to the reverse of the front wrap. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and generally clean with the occasional scattered spot. Very Good
