Three first edition novels by Len Deighton, prolific British author known for his spy novels, but also producing cookery, history, and military history books.The present group is comprised of the following:Winter, following the life of a German family from 1899 to 1945, while providing historical background for characters featuring in Deighton's 'Bernard Samson' series.MAMista set in a fictional South American country in the late twentieth century, following the story of Angel Paz, nephew of American gangster Don Arturo. City of Gold, a WW2 spy thriller set in Cairo.Violent Ward, thrilling novel set in California. In the original publisher's full cloth binding. Externally very smart with minor shelf wear only. Gentle cocking forward of the spine of 'Mamista.' With usual library marks to endpapers and discreet stamps to title page and last leaf of text of 'Mamista'. Dust wrappers unclipped and excellent with minor shelf wear only, 'Mamista' dust wrapper spine lightly sunned. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean. Very Good Indeed
