The second edition of this scarce work.ESTC citation number N36109.Appendix has a separate pagination and register.A treatise by Charles Leslie on dissenters, with the intention of verbally bringing down the opposers of state religion.Written in response to James Owen's 'Moderation a Virtue'.Leslie was a leading Jacobite propagandist after the Glorious Revolution of 1688.The year this pamphlet came out Leslie founded a weekly periodical named 'The Observator', later renamed to 'The Rehearsal of Observator' and then 'The Rehearsal'.Collated, complete. Disbound, as issued. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are age-toned and clean with only the occasional spot. Head of the title is closely trimmed, with some loss to the title. Head of the following few leaves closely trimmed with only marginal loss, other leaves closely trimmed only affecting the pagination, to a few pages the marginalia. Small tide mark to the fore edge. Good
