About This Item
Second edition of 'Natasha Rostova's book'.
The writer Tatiana Kuzminskaia (nee Bers 1846-1925) was younger sister of Sophia Bers who became the wife of Leo Tolstoy. Tatiana was very close with Tolstoy her whole life. She was one of the main prototypes for Natasha Rostova in Tolstoy's War and Peace and for now she is best known for her reminiscences about Tolstoy and life in Iasnaia Poliana.
This is one of the first Kuzminskaia's books and it was issued anonymously by Tolstoy's publishing house.
The covers made by Mikhail Malyshev (1852-1912) - peredvizhnik, close friend of the Russian writer Vsevolod Garshin.
Extremely rare.
Russian State Library has one defect copy only. National Library of Russia has no any copy.
We couldn't trace any copy of this or any other old edition in USA via OCLC.
