Gloucester, Virginia: Unpublished, 1922. William Joseph Schaldach (1896-1982) was a writer on art and outdoor sporting, editor for Field and Stream, and most notably an important American wildlife artist. He studied at the Art Students League under John Sloan and George Bridgman. The image of the drypoint offered here is 6 1/2 inches by 4 1/4 inches and is matted 13" X 10 3/4" and shrink-wrapped. The drypoint is in near-fine condition: clean and bright, with a single tiny spot of foxing outside the image.. SIGNED. Original. Single Sheet. Very Good. Illus. by W. J. Schaldach. 6 1/2" X 4 1/4".
