First Edition. 10 1/4" x 7 5/8". 192 pages, some 157 illustrations in black and white and colour, including diagrams and line drawings. Includes section on the special problems encountered when weaving with hand-spun wool; also the craftworker is clearly told throughout the book how to identify faults, diagnose their causes, and how to correct and/or avoid them in future. Additionally the two authors spent some thirty months in compiling the book, testing, re-testing and finally checking every pattern and dyeing formula to ensure absolute clarity, simplicity and accuracy. Hb in dw, apart from the previous owner's neatly written name on the front free endpaper, the is a near fine copy of the first edition..
