Slight spine slant. Binding sound. Pages age toned with typical period foxing throughout. Volumes 2-4: Moderate edgewear. Volume 1: Heavy edgewear. Front hinge cracked. Marginal penciled notations to the upper front pastedown. Volume 2: Early owner's name penciled to the upper first blank. Offsetting to the center right of page 414. Volume 3: Creasing to the upper corner of pages 155-168, 318-323 and 577-588. Volume 4: Slight dampstaining to the bottom corner of first blank-page 64.
