New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1909 Beautiful dark wine binding with an ivory cameo inset with an elephant and a swastika (a Hindu religious symbol), a gilt border on the front cover, gilt printing on the spine and a gilt decoration on the spine. The binding has no bumping or rubbing. Gilt top edges of the 324 pages, deckle-edged. The pages are crisp, clean, unmarked, uncreased. Frontispiece, and all illustrations, with tissue guards. The binding is good and tight. A fine collector's copy from a non-smoking household. Pictures available upon request. We have other volumes of this series. We ship daily.. First Edition. Cloth.
