Straight, tight and clean, discreet previous owner stamps to front endpaper and rear pastedown, slight spine-end bumps, tiny split to heel of spine. Dustjacket unclipped bearing original price, closed tears, scuffs, small stains, large chips to head and heel of spine, in new Brodart sleeve. A generous compilation of the wit of the man Fred Allen once called "the screwball's Boswell", comments on Hollywood stars, contemporary authors and sports figures among other things. Edited by Bergen Evans.
