About This Item

London: MacDonald & Co, 1968. 1st Edition 1st Printing. Hardcover. Near Fine/Near Fine. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. First edition first printing. Hardback book is tight and clean with a very slight lean. Boards sharp and clean, title gilt perfect. Text block clean, with lovely off-white edges. The FEPs have extremely feint offset tape marks to the bottom edges. The pages are crisp and unblemished. Very well bound and feels hardly read. Single minor bump to head of spine, Near fine condition. The jacket has very bold colours to the spine and panel. At some point there must have been a taped protector as there is historic tape residue to the top and bottom edges of the jacket, going on to the flaps. The tape residue is more prominent to the rear white panel that is otherwise clean. no rips tears or rubs. A near fine book in a near fine jacket.Signed and dedicated to the title page by author. This book is fitted with a non adhesive archival quality book protector to make a worthy addition to your collection. Note we do not use stock images, the book pictured is the book described. A signed example of this very collectible first edition first printing title, "To Roger / Best wishes / Larry Niven" Niven's first novel, looks super on the shelf in the archival fitted cover.
