Red Board Covers with dulled gilt lettering to spine and gilt lettering and decoration to front cover; world map on endpapers; right book edge is deckle-cut; book interior is clean and tight; 8vo; 581 pages; dustjacket is protected by a mylar wrapper and is very lightly soiled; front panel of dustjacket has four sets of chips along bottom edge from left spine gutter to right lower corner with two closed tears and some creasing; right edge of front dustjacket panel is rubbed with narrow linear chips along fold line and upper edge is rubbed with chipping at each corner and two closed tears with some light creasing; spine panel of dustjacket has chipping at top and bottom edges; white rear dustjacket panel has rubbing at top, bottom and spine fold edges and a small chip at lower left corner, upper right corner, a few small chips along top edge; lower right corner of inside front dustjacket flap is clipped
