The Adventures and Misadventures of an 8th Air Force Aviator. Smith completed 25 missions before he reached the age of 21. Signed (for Jeff Dypwick) on the half-title p. by Truman Smith & his good friend Jake McNiece. Jake is in the book & he & Truman were close friends before, during & after the war. McNiece was the man who started the real Dirty Dozen, made 4 combat jumps for the 101st Airborne, drank & fought his way thru combat, & received some 28 medals. Signed again by Jake on p. 167. I was privileged to go drinking with both of them. They were great men. Paperback book in v.g. cond.
